Hot Rubberized Crack Sealing

Crack sealing is your first defense in prolonging the life of your asphalt. Proper crack sealing prevents water from entering the base and delays future expensive replacement.

THE PROCESS

All cracks are thoroughly cleaned using either compressed air, gas powered power brooms, blowers or whatever may be required to create a clean reservoir and surface for the sealant to bond to. Cracks are then filled to full depth using a commercial grade hot rubberized product. The rubber is applied at 350 degrees and applied deep into the crack to the surface. A bander is used to create a 3-4 inch band across the top of the crack. Using this flexible product is a must in our climate, it will remain flexible, expanding and contracting during freeze/thaw cycles. Dollar for dollar sealing cracks is the most effective way to preserve you pavement.
