SURFACE PATCHING
Surface patching is a very economical way to repair pavement defects. A tack coat is sprayed over the existing area, then new hot mix asphalt is spread over the area. The new asphalt is then feathered into the surrounding area to make the transition as smooth as possible. The asphalt is then compacted and ready for use.

INFRARED Step By Step Process
STEP ONE:
The infrared unit is placed over the damaged area for approximately 10-14 minutes. The unit heats through the existing asphalt depth, enabling base re-compaction.
STEP THREE:
New asphalt is added to the area to match the surrounding asphalt. By using same day made hot mix asphalt product, the new area will outlast the surrounding asphalt.
STEP TWO:
Of the compromised asphalt, usually 15%-20% is removed. The remaining asphalt is luted, smoothed and a rejuvenating agent is added.
STEP FOUR:
The repaired area is compacted using a vibratory roller. The repair is completed as the new asphalt is bonded to the surrounding area, resulting in a permanent repair.
Hot Rubberized Crack Sealing

Crack sealing is your first defense in prolonging the life of your asphalt. Proper crack sealing prevents water from entering the base and delays future expensive replacement.
Regular sealing of cracks as they appear can double the life of your pavement. We operate the highest production equipment available. Along with our experienced crew we are your choice from parking lots to large roadway projects across western Canada.
THE PROCESS
All cracks are throughly cleaned using high pressure air heated to 2000 degrees fahrenheit, creating a clean reservoir for the sealant to bond to. Cracks are then filled to full depth using a commercial grade hot rubberized product. The rubber is applied at 350 degrees and pumped deep into the crack. Then a bander is used to create a 3-4 inch band across the top of the crack. Using this flexible product is a must in our climate, it will remain flexible, expanding and contracting during freeze/thaw cycles. Dollar for dollar sealing cracks is the most effective way to preserve you pavement.

Asphalt sealcoating is one of the essential elements of maintaining your commercial or residential asphalt.
Sealcoating is used on pavement surfaces to protect against gasoline, oil, salt, ultraviolet rays and slows oxidation and water penetration.
Asphalt sealcoating adds great presence to your premises by providing a smooth black finish leaving a professional, refreshed look.
THE PROCESS
Your asphalt surface is gone over thoroughly and we explain the best options to protect your parking lot or driveway. We clean the entire surface to insure proper adhesion and a long lasting seal is achieved. In some cases where a parking lot is dirty enough we will suggest a pass with a sweep truck prior to our work starting. All edging is done by hand to insure no overspray on sidewalks and landscaping and the remaining surface is spray applied. After curing the asphalt is opened up to traffic and business as usual.
